Fantasy Art Show


This is the first 'Fantasy Art Show' for the Sackets Harbor Art Center and we hope to make it an annual event.  This will take place at the Art Center starting on September 1st and running through September 28th.

We are a family friendly art center, so all entries will be juried simply for appropriate content. These will be displayed in the main gallery and we hold many children's classes, so they need to suitable for viewing by our younger visitors. 

You do not need to be a Member of AANNY to participate.  So, conjure up all the fairies, dragons and unicorns you can think of! 

Guidelines For Entering A Painting

  • Artwork will be juried for content.

  • All artwork must be artist’s own creation and not copied from the work of other artists or cloned from copyrighted material. Class or group work must be the sole creation of the artist with no assistance from the instructor or group other than verbal advice. “Copy Class” work is not acceptable. The integrity of the artwork is the responsibility of the artist. If the artwork is determined to be plagiarized, it will be removed from the show and returned to the artist with no entry fee refund. It also can’t have been previously entered in an AANNY Art Show. 

  • Each artist may enter up to two pieces. A complete entry form and payment by cash, credit card (Visa, MasterCard, or Discover) or check is due upon submission of artwork.

  • For each piece of artwork  marked “not for sale”, the artist must indicate the value on the entry form for insurance purposes.

  • 2-D artwork must be no larger than 24x26, matted, framed and ready for handing with a side-to-side wire attached on the back. No saw-toothed hangers are allowed. 

  • 3-D artwork must be movable and weigh less than 40 lbs.

  • Sackets Harbor Arts Center will retain a 25% commission on all entries sold during the show. Artwork sold will be released to buyers at the end of the art show, September 28.

  • Artwork will be displayed for the duration of the show, September 1st until September 28th. If an entry is for sale and is sold, it may be removed from the show early at the discretion of the art show committee.


  • August 20: Deadline for pre-registration
  • August 25 1-4pm: Artwork Drop-off
  • August 26 4-7pm: Artwork Drop-off
  • August 31 4-6pm: Awards Reception for artists, members and 2 guests
  • September 1 1-4pm: Art Show opens to the public
  • September 1-September 28: Open to the public Fridays through Sundays 1-4pm
  • September 29 Noon-4pm: Art work pick up
  • September 30 3-6pm: Art work pick up

Artwork not picked up by artist by September 30 at 6pm shall become property of the Sackets Harbor Arts Center.
