July Featured Artist

PURE WATERCOLOR

July’s featured artist will be AANNY founding member Bill Christopherson with his watercolor exhibit titled “Pure Watercolor”.

Bill began his journey into the art of watercolors in the late 1980’s, taking instructional courses from renowned 1000 Islands pure watercolor artist Hans Junga. Pure watercolor is a painting technique requiring strategy and planning to capture the brightest lights, and darkest darks of positive and negative spaces without having to add opaque “whiteners” and “brighteners” such as oil paints or acrylic to a composition.  

Bill will have many of his award winning pure watercolor paintings, as well as new works of the local area and his travels on display.  

All are invited to join Bill and friends at an opening reception at Sackets Harbor Arts Center Saturday July 5, 1:00PM – 4:00PM, with light hors d’oeuvres, beverages and guitar of Gary Walts.
